Enhance Federal Oversight of the Meat Rabbit Industry
American rabbit meat production is largely unregulated. Federal agencies deny meat rabbits legal protection from even the worst slaughter abuses. Urge the USDA to create a mandatory inspection program of meat rabbit processing facilities:

Stop the Expansion of Rabbit Meat Production
Alabama Agricultural Director Ron Sparks has made the development of the rabbit meat industry his "top priority". Right now, the industry is relatively small, however, if Mr. Sparks and the Tri-State Rabbit Growers Association have their way it will be as large as the chicken industry. The bunnies need your voice. Please politely but firmly let Mr. Sparks know how you feel on this issue.

Support the Violet Rabbit Fund
Violet was a small black rabbit whose vibrant personality and love of life were far larger than her size. Living with her family for nearly ten years, Violet was an outgoing, rambunctious rabbit who was very clear about communicating her strong opinions. She loved playing games, eating veggies, and snuggling in bed-and she wanted nothing more than to be close to her family. Tragically, her intelligence and capacity for love were no different than those rabbits who are destined for dinner plates instead of a loving family. Contributions to the fund will go towards building public awareness of cruelty in the rabbit meat and poultry industries.
